Tender Description
Lachlan Shire Council invites quotations for the design and fit-out of an interpretive space at the new Lachlan Shire Discovery and Visitor Information Centre. The centre is currently under construction and is located on the Gipps Way, Condobolin NSW, adjacent to the Lachlan River. It is co-located with the award-winning “Utes in the Paddock” and Jockey’s Memorial and is the western gateway to the Sculpture Down the Lachlan Trail.
The interior of the centre is minimal and paired back to the essentials of structure and enclosure. The centre’s exposed steel structure and utilitarian honed concrete floor with white walls will provide the ideal backdrop for interpretation design. The use of a steel structure has allowed for large glazed areas to give views from and through the building to connect the site. The space incorporates the information centre and café.

Budget:
Council has limited funds and we are seeking a practical, innovative and effective solution. Solutions above $250,000 (including the design costs) will not be considered.
