Tender Description
Hobsons Bay City Council is seeking an experienced, qualified construction company to deliver the fit-out project for Altona Meadows Library. The project is to commence in early October 2022 and is estimated to take 5 months to deliver from end to end.
The project will be delivered as a construct only project using contract AS 2124. The contractor is required to remove and dispose of any loose furniture left on the premises that is not relocated by library staff. The library staff will decant all the books and reading paraphernalia offsite.
The contractor is required to construct the project set out in the tender drawings provided by
Haskell architects. Some of the key items of the project are as listed below.
1. New carpet throughout.
2. Install acoustic treatments.
3. Install fixed furniture.
4. Painting.
5. Construct two new meeting rooms.
6. Landscaping to external courtyard.
7. Electrical works.
8. Mechanical works.
9. Tiling to wet areas.
10. New vinyl flooring to wet areas.
11. Part removal of combustible cladding. (External)
Tenderers will be assessed on the following criteria:
Mandatory Criteria
1. Public Liability Insurance minimum $20 million
2. Compliance and acceptance of Conditions of Contract
3. OH&S Policy and Procedures
4. Compliance with specification
5. COVID-19 Continuity Plan
Assessable Criteria
1. Tendered Price
2. Experience - Past Performance - List contracts undertaken within the past 3 years
3. Experience - Past Performance - Previous experience in achieving tight timelines
4. Experience - Technical Skills - Professional and technical experience of personnel
5. Tenderer to provide an example of the build quality that they will bring to the project
