Tender Description
TRAM PROJECTS SCOPE OF WORKS
1. The contractor is to price Tram 768 - Deer Park North PS tram package cost
2. Remove trams from current location (Victrack Newport warehouse, 89 Champion Road,
Williamstown North, Victoria, 3016.) and transport to contractors facility.
3. Under controlled conditions, remove and dispose of all asbestos containing materials as
outlined in the Prensa report(s) provided.
4. Remove flooring to allow for removal of bituminous membrane.
5. Remove any fixed items (IE: seating) to allow for abatement works.
6. Entire tram to undergo environmental cleaning using HEPA vacuuming and wet wiping
methods, prior to clearance inspection by the nominated occupational hygienist.
7. Perform non-abrasive dry ice blasting of all external surfaces to remove flaking and
compromised coatings.
8. Laser clean to remove lead paint to all metal and intricate fittings (Label & Tag for
identification & reinstatement).
9. Remove lead paint to timber sections (external and internal within cabin area) using Peel
Away lead removal application.
10. Perform soda blasting to remove heavy coatings to roof of tram. Soda blasting to be run at a
low PSI so as not to damage substrate.
11. Entire tram to undergo HEPA vacuuming and clean-down following lead removal works,
subject to clearance inspection by the nominated occupational hygienist.
12. Paint all nominated areas with 3 x coats of paint in appropriate (heritage) colours, using a
gloss exterior grade weathershield paint
13. Reinstate floor with hard wearing plywood flooring and any removed fixed items.
