Tender Description
Development Victoria is seeking to engage a head contractor for the Old Kyneton Primary School Redevelopment (KPSR) project (Project).
The Victorian State Government made a $12 million commitment for the redevelopment of the old Kyneton Primary school building as part of the 2020-21 Budget. The site contains an old bluestone school (1850’s) and latter day two storey component (1980’s). The redevelopment is expected to deliver compliance works throughout both buildings in addition to a basic gallery space and cold shell hospitality venue in the 1850’s bluestone building and leasable tenancy spaces in a form community hub with an atrium in the 1980’s building, along with a new entrance. Further details of the scope and program will be included in the Request for Tender (RFT).
The procurement will be conducted via a select tender process with Development Victoria. Bidders will need to be registered under a relevant category on the Construction Supplier Register and have experience with delivering building works projects of at least $10m as well as operating under a novated design and construction model
The Local Jobs First Policy, Social Procurement Framework and Modern Slavery legislation will apply to this procurement. It is anticipated to use a modified contract of AS4300 Design and Construct (subject to change).
