Design & Construct Modular Two Bedroom Units in Woomelang & Murtoa

⁠⁠⁠Yarriambiack Shire Council are seeking suitably qualified contractors to undertake all works associated with the design, construction, and installation of modular two x 2-bedroom dwelling developments, in Woomelang and Murtoa, including landscaping, driveways and onsite servicing.

The works proposed as part of this project are subject to grant restrictions which identify contractors should be located outside the metropolitan Melbourne area, as defined by the Yarriambiack Planning Scheme and the Victorian Planning Provisions (Metropolitan Melbourne is defined as the area covered by the Banyule, Bayside, Boroondara, Brimbank, Cardinia, Casey, Darebin, Frankston, Glen Eira, Greater Dandenong, Hobsons Bay, Hume, Kingston, Knox, Manningham, Maribyrnong, Maroondah, Melbourne, Melton, Monash, Moonee Valley, Moreland, Mornington Peninsula, Nillumbik, Port of Melbourne, Port Phillip, Stonnington, Whitehorse, Whittlesea, Wyndham, Yarra and Yarra Ranges Planning Schemes and the area within the urban growth boundary in the Mitchell Planning Scheme).

All dwellings:

• should be constructed to a Gold level under the Liveable Housing Design (LHD) Guidelines;
• should be constructed to a minimum of Bushfire Attack Level 12.5 (subject to onsite BAL assessments)

All designs should include:

• Preliminary drawings
• Construction drawings
• Joinery designs
• Engineered footing details (soil tests to be provided by the Shire)
• Landscaping plans, including driveways, low-maintenance garden and lawn areas.

Designs are to comply with the requirements of the Disability (Access to Premises – Buildings) Standards 2010, the National Construction Code (NCC), Building Code of Australia (BCA) Volumes 1 and 2 (which take precedence over the LHD Guidelines) and Clause 55 of the Yarriambiack Planning Scheme.
