Design & Construction of Cycle Centre Nodes - Lilydale

⁠⁠⁠Yarra Ranges Shire Council (Council) is seeking tenders from suitably experienced parties for the Design and Construction of two Cycle Centre Nodes at the following locations:

• Site 1 – Warburton Rail Trail / Gardiner Street Lilydale, Melway Reference 38 E3

• Site 2 – Maroondah Hwy / Main Street Lilydale, Melway Reference 38 E5

Tenderers are advised that the construction start date is as soon as possible following tender award and the preferred date for Practical Completion for both sites is 30 June 2023 if practical. Staging for the sites may be sequential or concurrent, provided works are not delayed on either site due to the concurrent site works.

The Principal anticipates awarding the contract for both sites to one Contractor.

Please refer to Principal amendments to AS 4902-2000 Clause 45 (in this tender document) – the Principal authorises the Contractor to, and the Contractor must, manage or control the Workplace to the extent necessary to discharge the duties imposed on a principal contractor under the OH&S Regs etc.

Tenderers are expected to visit the sites and obtain generally for their own information any particulars which may affect the execution of Works. The sites are available for inspection at any time.

A non-mandatory online tender briefing session will be held over Microsoft Teams at 10:00am 1 February 2023. Tenderers are recommended to attend and should indicate their intention to do so via Council’s e-tendering portal and advise. A link to the online tender briefing will be provided following registered attendance. Council requests tenderers to register their attendance by 10:00am 31 January 2023.
