Tender Description
General Medicine trainees are invited to express interest to participate in a focus group about providing healthcare to adults with cognitive disability.
According to the Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability, people with cognitive disability include people with:
- intellectual disability
- autism
- acquired brain injury
- dementia
We're interested in your experiences working with adults who live with any of the above.
The focus group will:
- provide an opportunity for General Medicine trainees to share their perspectives and training experiences when working with adults with cognitive disability
- identify areas where General Medicine trainees would like to build their confidence and capability
- embed these insights into an Online Learning Resource on the topic of 'Providing Healthcare to People with Cognitive Disability', which is currently in development
The focus group will be held in 2023. More details will be provided closer to the date.
Appointed members will be eligible for CPD credits.
