The Reservoir Revitalisation projects are being delivered by us in partnership with the Victorian Government.
Reservoir is one of Melbourne’s largest suburbs. Some of Reservoir’s greatest strengths are its socially and culturally diverse community and its residents’ strong sense of community and pride. The new award-winning Reservoir train station was completed in 2020 as part of the Level Crossing Removal Project. The new station combines with other public transport links to connect residents and visitors to Reservoir’s established main street precinct, its well-loved recreational and leisure destinations and its diverse residential neighbourhoods. Council and the Victorian State Government are committed to long-lasting renewal in Reservoir and therefore it has been identified as a priority suburb to revitalise.
Investment through the following projects in Reservoir will seek to:
- Guide local growth such that it benefits long-standing and new residents alike
- Support a strong and resilient local economy and economic wellbeing
- Create a vibrant and attractive public realm and main street precinct
- Increase community connections and programs for the most vulnerable
- Improve perceptions of safety.
