Tender Description
Melton Town Centre Kids Zone will provide a fun and engaging play space for the local
community. This will encourage families to increase their visitation to the centre, stay in the
centre for longer periods of time and spend locally.
This project will create a vibrant destination, improve local community connections, improve
activity in the heart of the town centre and provide a place of community pride and belonging
in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic.
The project scope includes the delivery of a play space for children with associated
infrastructure, located close to the Court House Café. Streetscape works will be undertaken
to improve and increase the space available for a play facility and increase available
pedestrian space.
The Project is jointly funded by the office of Suburban Development’s Melton Town Centre
Revitalisation Board and Melton City Council. The project must achieve Practical Completion
by 15 September 2022, to fulfill the requirements of the Victorian Government grant
agreement. There is no room for delay on this project beyond the specified Practical
Completion date.
The objectives of this RFT are;
Enable Council to appoint a suitably qualified contractor to carry out the construction of Melton
Town Centre Kids Zone, including all scope items as outlined in the drawings and specifications
provided with this RFT.
