Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠The Advanced Training Committee (ATC) in Neonatal Perinatal Medicine (NPM) seeks expressions of Interests from NPM Fellows for 3 vacant positions.

 
Fellows from South Australia, Victoria, Western Australia are encouraged to apply.
 
Key responsibilities are to:
 
  • monitor and assess individual trainee progress
  • confirm completion of training requirements for progression to Fellowship
  • monitor training of, and provide support to, supervisors
  • accredit training settings or programs in neonatal/perinatal medicine
  • assess Recognition of Prior Learning
  • monitor and review training program requirements, assessments and curricula in consultation with the relevant Specialty Societies and other stakeholders, and recommend changes to the College Education Committee via the Paediatric & Child Health Division Education Committee
  • advise on assessment and resource content
  • advise on matters relating to Overseas Trained Physicians
  • provide advice on specialty specific CPD and other educational resources for members where appropriate
  • modify training requirements for individual trainees in accordance with College policies and procedures when required
  • assess and provide advice on specialist recognition in neonatal/perinatal medicine for Fellows in the Paediatric and Child Health Division who have not completed the Neonatal/Perinatal Medicine Advanced Training program.
The ATC holds 1 face-to-face meeting in Sydney 2 video conferences a year. The next meeting is scheduled for 19 May 2022 via video conference
 
Members are appointed to the ATC for initial 3-year term, with the option to renew another term.
