Tender Description
Sutherland Shire Council is inviting suitably qualified and experienced contractors to submit a tender for the supply and installation of mechanical services and other associated building works required for the Hazelhurst Galleries Art Studios at 782 Kingsway, Gymea NSW 2227.
The following requirements will apply with full details available in the Mechanical Services Specification:
• Attendance at coordination meetings to consult with Council’s Building Assets and Property Services Staff. The purpose of the coordination meeting is to refine strategies and practices to minimise disruptions to the users and tenants of the building and methodology for providing protection for patrons of the facility (allow to attend two meetings at the site or at Council’s premises).
• Provision of all items included within the Jones Nicholson Mechanical Services Design and Specifications, and this specification.
• Complete isolation of the work site area from other areas of the facility to prevent unauthorised persons entering the work area.
• Encapsulation of the work area to completely prevent dust and debris entering other areas of the facility.
• Internal demolition works which may disrupt the operation of the facility are to be scheduled for out of hours work where necessary.
• All associated adjustments, alterations and modifications to the building fabric and building services which will be required to accommodate the works.
• Provide protection of surfaces and finishes within the galleries and studios while local works are being undertaken.
• Ensure all areas used for access are thoroughly cleaned on a daily basis.
• Provide all labour and materials to restore any finishes, surfaces, fixtures or any part of the building disturbed or damaged as a result of the works.
• Full Commissioning of the installation and provision of operation and maintenance manuals, warranties and guarantees and training of relevant staff members on operating components which are included within the new work.
