Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠Overview

 
The Community and Place Based Partnerships for DFSV Prevention and Response grants program aims to fund partnership projects that contribute to enhanced collaboration and integration among Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations and specialist domestic, family and sexual violence (DFSV) services, innovative, place based and community-led initiatives to better respond to and reduce DFSV, building capability of Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations to respond to and prevent DFSV and building capability of specialist domestic, family and sexual services and workforce to deliver culturally safe and culturally competent services.
 
This grants program is one-off, non-ongoing funding. Applications should be able to demonstrate how funding will be used for a one-off project that meets the aims listed above and involves partnerships between Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations and a specialist DFSV organisation.
 
This funding may support response, early intervention or primary prevention initiatives, including expansion of projects that are evaluated as successful.
 
Types of activities that can be funded under this grant program include:
 
  • Community development
  • Resource development
  • Workforce development and training
  • Consultation, research and reviews
Community members that projects could engage and work with include:
 
  • Men who use violence
  • Young people in violent relationships
  • Women experiencing violence
  • Violence in families
  • People in correctional settings including youth detention
The above types of activities and key engagement groups are not exhaustive and the Assessment Panel will consider any project that aligns to the grant program aims.
