South Australian Protective Security Uplift Project
Tender ID: 483176
Tender Details
Tender Description
The South Australian Protective Security Framework (SAPSF) was introduced in 2020 to provide all government agencies with policy requirements and guidance to implement and maintain effective protective security processes and procedures that identify and manage security risk, promote continuous improvement to security capability and maturity, and foster a positive security culture.
In April 2021, Cabinet approved funds to undertake specific and general activities to uplift the protective security capability and maturity across the South Australian Government.
This procurement comprises two distinct elements relating to the protective security uplift project, specifically:
- Conduct an independent review and analysis of security capability and maturity of several critical SA Government agencies, to identify strengths and potential deficiencies in the risk-based implementation of the SAPSF.
- Develop and deliver a protective security training program, in order to establish a consistent, standardised approach to training government security personnel or other positions of particular trust within government.
Outcomes of the review and training program will ensure critical government business, information and assets are adequately protected and will assist upskilling of appointed security personnel across government by improving subject matter expertise, general security awareness, greater identification of shared risks between agencies, and ensuring security personnel are responsive to a dynamic threat environment.
