DVA invites participation in an Request for Information (RFI) process from persons or entities interested in supplying a workforce of clinical advisory support to assist DVA in administering benefits, services, and programs within the legislative framework, to meet the needs of veterans and their families
Scope of Services
DVA requires a robust and flexible service delivery model to effectively support the CHO. This model will provide well-governed and timely clinical advice to support DVA’s operational needs, particularly in managing compensation claims and health treatment requests. The intent of the Service is to:
• provide seamless and consistent internal clinical advice services delivered by health practitioners unconditionally registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (Ahpra) or the National Alliance of Self-Regulation Health Professionals (NASRHP);
• ensure that clinical advice meets the expectations and administrative requirements of both the CHO and DVA in providing timely, high quality clinical advice that is evidence-based and best clinical practice;
• maintain cost certainty for the Service, to support transparent and predictable budgeting and financial planning; and
• deliver a national service which supports a geographically dispersed workforce across DVA state offices that integrates with the DVA workforce and offers accessible, consistent clinical advice, enabling a cohesive and standardised approach to the provision of clinical advice. DVA acknowledges the importance flexible work arrangements with the ability to work from home up to three days a week (or pro rata) subject to DVA approval.
