Austrade is looking for a Technical Lead to join the Digital Client Services Branch (DCS). DCS has several programs of work in progress which support the delivery of digital services to our clients, who include Australian exporters and international students.
The Technical Lead will work closely with solution developers and testers across multi-disciplinary teams that use agile principles and practices to deliver client-centred solutions. They will collaborate with, and take direction from, the Solution Architect and Program Delivery Manager to provide technical leadership and build technical capability within the branch to a high standard.
The Technical Lead will be responsible for:
• Leading capability uplift in technical skill sets and processes across the division, including upholding coding standards and test-driven development practices, and leading peer reviews and pair programming activities with the developer cohort.
• Providing strong technical expertise and guidance to developers undertaking software development activities using bespoke ASP.NET Core web app (Web API, Entity Framework Core) and solutions based on ReactJS using TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Maintaining and improving CI/CD build and release pipelines in Azure DevOps/Git, including coordinating and carrying out test and production releases to deliver product increments, including integrating test automation.
• Performing systems analysis, investigating technical problems, and working with relevant team members to troubleshoot and resolve defects and blockers.
• Assisting teams with estimating, refining, and planning technical tasks.
• Working closely within an agreed architecture to deliver and maintain high quality, extensible, and maintainable tools and systems in line with robust SDLC practices and to deadlines.
