Position Purpose
This role provides operational support for the growing suite of applications and infrastructure the NDIA (National Disability Insurance Agency) is rolling out support the agencies business functions. The role will work closely with the engineering teams when rolling out new infrastructure and applications to ensure appropriate operational support is available for infrastructure and applications from day one.
The role will manage a small team focused on providing operational Level 2 and 3 support to the services, applications, and infrastructure the agency consumes. The successful applicant would be responsible for managing the operations team supporting the operations of the agencies modern cloud-based services.
Duties
•Lead a team of ICT operations staff supporting the agencies services, applications, and infrastructure.
• Monitor and ensure adherence to uptime SLAs of services, applications and infrastructure which runs the agency.
• Provide guidance, knowledge, and support to the broader platforms team on ICT operations.
• As a senior member of the team, possess the ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Writing and contributing to policy documents supporting effective ICT operations.
• Ensuring the services, applications and infrastructure used by the agency is updated and patched within appropriate timeframes.
• Manage relationships with key vendors including leveraging relationships to provide positive outcomes for the NDIA and the continued support of existing services, applications, and infrastructure.
• Ensure any services, applications, or infrastructure the platforms team provisions are operationally supported during their lifetime.
• Provide strategic and expert domain knowledge to architectural teams when designing solutions.
• Foster a positive culture within the Platforms & Integration team aligned with Agency values.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Managing and providing on-call, out of hours support for high priority incidents, releases and changes.
