In Scope Activities and Deliverables
The following in-scope activities and deliverables are included in the Project:
1. Current State Assessment
- Review of current architecture and software versions.
- Understand business context (use cases) and create inventory of capture sources, system metrics/volume and workloads.
- Assess how documents are identified, classified, and data is extracted (rules, templates and machine learning).
- Review customisations (bespoke/plugins), integrations (Case Management) and non-standard configuration.
- Walk through end-to-end capture workflows covering ingestion and output (scan profiles, business rules/logic, batch/real time processes).
- Identify current pain-points (manual processing and performance bottlenecks) covering accuracy, limitations and exceptions.
2. Future State Assessment
- Review/understand security/compliance (and other non-functional requirements) of proposed target environment
- Identify changes in functionality introduced by candidate upgrade (feature parity) including deprecated features/APIs and new/enhanced features/functionality
- Based on candidate future state(s), capture refactor vs. replace vs. retire decisions
- Document proposed future-state architectures (Lift-and-shift, re-platform/modernisation, Cloud/Hybrid models)
- Present findings of analysis and recommendations (Recommendations Report)
- Identify upgrade/future state risks, constraints and challenges
- Estimate effort to rework customizations and overall implementation effort
- Decide on proposed future state based on candidate options
- Produce high-level estimate and timeline based on preferred end-state (ROM Estimate Proposal)
