Tender Description
Ports Victoria is responsible for:
- the management of Station Pier as Victoria’s premier cruise shipping and interstate passenger ferry facility
- channel management and safe navigation in the waters of the ports of Melbourne, Geelong and Hastings
- waterside emergency and marine pollution response.
Tenders are sought from suitably experienced and reputable companies for the provision of timber pile rehabilitation works at Station Pier, as part of the ongoing routine maintenance program for the pier.
The works include but are not limited to:
1. Removal of existing pile repairs (where nominated)
2. Timber pile repair works via the following techniques:
* Pile splice
* Pile encasement
* Pile barrier wrap
3. Driving of new timber piles
4. Installation of new steel bracing and removal of existing timber bracing
5. Pile connections to headstocks
