Tender Description
The purpose of this EOI is to improve the safety and productivity of Stackers and Trippers at East Intercourse Island and consists of 16 scopes of work. Before submitting an expression of interest, the supplier must download the document(s) provided in this EOI as it details the requirement for each scope and sets out the acronyms used.
Scopes of Work - Overview
1. PL-033 Slew Chamber Access - Complete fabrication and installation of a lockable swing guard over the ladder to prevent inadvertent access. Incorporate signage – “Isolate before entry".
2. PL-040 Luff 0 Degree Arrows - Fabricate and install a stainless-steel bracket to secure the Luff 0-Degree Arrow label to the top of the luff cylinder bearing cap.
3. PL-065 300mm Step Height - modify step heights
4. PL-088 Boom Take up - Procure and install gauges and associated hard piping. Install sign detailing operating pressure/tension range for boom conveyor.
5. PL-091 Non-Return Piping - Relocate the Tripper hose reeler water non-return valve to a point before the rotary union to prevent the hose from collapsing from negative pressure.
6. PL-112 Low Speed Coupling Guarding & Walkover - Fabricate and install LS guards which incorporate separate removable panels to permit inspection without major disassembly.
7. Pl-115 Luff HPU Maintenance Access Roller Shutter Doors - Complete fabrication and procurement package to replace swing doors to the HPU with roller shutter doors as per engineering design. Fabricate and install step to provide access to the HPU interior.
8. PL-116 Tripper Transfer Chute Door Latches - Replace the existing redundant style wedge door latches with cam-locks style locks on all transfer points.
9. PL-119 Stacker Overhead Protection Shelter - Fabricate and install handrail barrier, lockable gate and signage to warn personnel to inspect the area above the cable reeler access platform prior to entry.
10. PL-120 Rail Wash Down Sprays - Fabricate and install hard piping and connect to the stacker water service. Install a manually operated water sprays directed to the rail anchors on either side of each stacker to wash accumulated material away from the rails and onto the adjoining concrete driveway where this material can be collected by a bobcat.
11. PL-125 & PL-126 Transfer Car, Striker, Platform and Gate Installation - Install handrails, platform and sliding gates to the transfer car. Remove scaffold and timber planking. NB: Handrails, platform and sliding gates have been fabricated and are on site.
12. PL-128 Stacker Potential Crush location - Fabricate and Modify stacker access stairs and potential crush locations on 3 stackers and 7 yard runways.
13. PL-131 & PL-142 Tripper Idler Maintenance Guarding Handrails - Replace trough idlers frames with retractable idler frames (Lorbrand Australia). NB: Procured of retractable idler frames by RTIO. Fabricate and install fall from heights barriers. On 7 Trippers and 3 Stackers.
14. PL-141 & PL-158 Boom Belt Barrier and Boom Access from Maintenance Bay - Install fabricated handrails. Fabricate and install access step on the boom of the stackers to enable access from the boom to the existing Maintenance Bay Cradle stairs. On maintenance bay cradle and 3 stackers.
15. PL-156 Under Boom Exclusion - Fabricate and install permanent barricading and signage to restrict access to the area under the boom when the stacker is in the maintenance bay.
16. PL185 Specialised Tooling and Lifting Frames - Fabricate and install handrails to each tripper to enable the installation of the specialized tooling on 7 trippers.
Company Supply:
• All engineering drawings and shop fabrication drawings.
• Sliding gates, platforms and strikers for the transfer car modifications PL-125 & PL-126.
• Retractable idler frames for the trippers PL-131 & PL142.
• Select handrails for the maintenance bay cradle PL-141 & PL-158.
