Jemena Asset Management Pty Ltd (Jemena) is seeking Expressions of Interests (EOI) from interested parties (Respondents) to provide Construction Services (Services) for the Malabar Biomethane Injection Project.
The Sydney Water Corporation (SWC) Malabar Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) is located in the Malabar Headland National Park, and is one of Sydney Water’s multiple Anaerobic Digestion (AD) plants in NSW. The current Malabar digester system consumes the bulk of its raw biogas output for electrical power generation and water heating. The balance of biogas that cannot be utilised in site processes is combusted through waste gas burners.
The Malabar Biomethane Injection Project (MBIP) involves the upgrade of raw biogas into “bio-methane” to be exported into the gas distribution network. The project will involve the use of a biogas upgrader facility which will treat raw biogas from the AD plant by removing non-methane gases, until the resultant gas stream meets the required gas specification in preparation for injection. The biogas upgrader facility will be located on a portion of land within the SWC Malabar WWTP (Site).
Jemena will review and assess your EOI submissions and establish a shortlist of prequalified Respondents. The Principal will release finalised design drawings and documentation to the shortlisted Respondents as they are available following completion of detailed design. It is anticipated this will be provided as an RFI to shortlisted Respondents early/mid Jan 2022.
This EOI does seek indicative pricing.
