This Tender is invited by the Issuer.
As the Virtual Platform Specialist, you will maintain current knowledge and experience across the following technologies:
• Microsoft Technologies including:
o Azure Devops
o ADFS
o Active Directory & Azure Active Directory
o Windows Server 2008 and above
• Hypervisor technologies like VMWare and AHV
• Platform and server migrations to Hyper Converged Infrastructure and the Cloud
• A high-level of understanding of Networking & DNS
• A good understanding of enterprise networking
• On-Prem & Cloud Software, Platform, and Infrastructure service offerings including container services
• Essential 8 security
• Monitoring platforms such as SCOM, Splunk, Application Insights.
As the Virtual Platform Specialist, you will be responsible for the following:
• Product Evaluation and Assessments
• Produce technical and non-technical roadmaps
• Designing, Documenting and/or evaluating proposed solutions
• Documenting as-built/as-configured
• Developing implementation plans and run sheets
• Documenting and running changes (start to finish) under the ITIL framework
• Updating and maintaining the Department’s documentation and management tools
• Providing Level 3 Wintel experience for the department’s BAU activities
• Configuration, administration and migration plus on-going support of multiple Microsoft Windows, Azure, VMWare & O365 environments
• Proactive monitoring, issue resolution & request management via the ticketing system
• Development & maintenance of process automation
• Looking after our customers' needs and delivering quality outcomes
Please note, flexible working arrangements are supported by the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment while COVID restrictions or staged return to workplace conditions are in place, but under normal circumstances this role is expected to be undertaken onsite in Canberra.
