The Defence Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) project is a major Defence transformation program that will have a significant impact on the way we manage our people, their skilling and development.
As the Education and Training domain leads, Defence Education, Learning and Training Authority (DELTA) are heavily engaged with the ERP project, specifically for the planned delivery of SAP Learning modules.
DELTA maintains stewardship of a set of enterprise learning technologies that service the organisation’s non-corporate learning requirements. This environment is called the Defence Learning Environment (DLE). How the DLE systems integrate and interoperate between and the proposed ERP end-state will require careful design and planning.
A design phase has now commenced and will detail integration, future business processes and configuration design of the end state integrated solution.
DELTA requires a dedicated resource to provide the high level of engagement required to drive the outcomes of the ERP project for DELTA. This resource will lead a high level and persistent engagement with ERP accountable to:
- Be a single point of contact for non-executive DLE coordination.
- Ensure deep alignment, integration and agreement between key stakeholders of the DLE, DELTA and the ERP Project.
- Support development of agreed end-state solution design, maximising opportunities for interoperability with the broader Defence Learning Environment.
- Ensure business process alignment for future state of the Defence Learning Technical Environment (DLTE).
