Tender Description
Hobsons Bay City Council (“Council”) invites suitably experienced and qualified contractors to submit a tender response for Dick Murdoch Reserve and Beverly Anton Reserve Construction Upgrade Works (“Project”).
Overview of Scope of Work
These two parks – Dick Murdoch Reserve and Beverly Anton Reserve (Laverton) will be tendered as one contract due to the repeated nature of the work and scope, matched timelines, closeness in proximity and modest scale.
The scope of the works consists of supplying all labour, expertise, supervision, materials and equipment necessary to undertake demolition, earthworks, concreting, play equipment and furniture and installation and soft landscape works.
Dick Murdoch Reserve
The project is to include a full park and playground upgrade including rationalisation of the play space and open lawn within the reserve; new pedestrian paths & provision of recreational activities for younger children to teenagers; installation of new street furniture, play equipment and soft landscaping including tree planting.
Beverly Anton Reserve
The project is to include a full park upgrade with updated path network; installation of new street furniture and soft landscaping including tree planting.
The indicative commencement date is 24 January 2022 with Practical Completion being 14 April 2022.
Tenderers will initially be assessed against the following Mandatory assessable criteria
Public Liability Insurance minimum $20 million
Compliance and acceptance of Council’s AS2124 Conditions of Contract
OH&S Policy and Procedures
Compliance with specification
Experience in Reserve construction upgrades - Minimum 5 years’ experience in the past 5 years (January 2016 - Till date)
COVID-19 Continuity Plan
