Position Purpose
The National Disability Insurance Agency is undertaking a major program of work to improve the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). We are seeking a passionate, experienced Tester to join the Office of the CIO (OCIO). Under the guidance of the OCIO’s Test Manager, you will prepare for and conduct testing activities across one of more concurrent ICT projects, with a focus on Mobile apps and Web-based Portals.
Duties
• Support the OCIO Test Manager in execution of the NDIA’s Test Strategy and standards, which involves expansion of the technology solution landscape with new Technology Providers.
• Support the OCIO Test Manager to develop the Test Approach for a given project.
• Take ownership for day-to-day Test planning, preparation, execution and verification on a given project(s).
• Execute testing – this is a hands-on role with manual and automation components.
• Escalate testing issues to through the appropriate channels.
• Provide regular updates on work status, risks and issues in consultation with project managers.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to other team members undertaking testing activities including business analysts, and business representatives.
• Take responsibility for the quality of testing undertaken for the project.
• Work with Test Automation specialists to incorporate Test Automation into the ongoing test approach.
• Support efforts to industrialise testing best practices and standards, including tooling, documentation, metrics, reporting, and introduction of automation.
