Tender Description
The Sydney Opera House Trust (SOHT) is due to complete Stage one roll out to a Microsoft 365 environment by December 2021. Stage one includes the migration of on-premises personal drive to OneDrive, Outlook Exchange on premises to Outlook Exchange online and Teams enablement for content collaboration. This is when data backup services must take place.
Stage two of the M365 project will occur in the succeeding 6 to 12 months (in 2022), where on-premises network drives content will move the SharePoint sites and document libraries and active records will be created from SharePoint (possibly via Teams). This is when records management integration must take place i.e. M365 will be the primary SOHT electronic document and records management system (EDRMS).
This major change in business operations requires third party data backup services to protect SOHT users data at the end of stage one, followed by implementation of an in-place records management system in stage two.
The SOHT is seeking proposals for both cloud backup and in-place records management under a single contract. Licensing and implementation services for both functions are in scope for this tender. Migration of legacy records into the new EDRMS is not in scope however it is optional to include this migration as part of the tender for future consideration.
