Tender Description
DEW requires services of a contractor to administer the annual Fighting Fit program to its National Parks and Wildlife Service South Australia (NPWS) fire brigade members.
The Program supports delivery of DEW’s Fire Management program by ensuring brigade members meet appropriate health and fitness requirements to undertake firefighting, operational support and incident management roles in prescribed burning operations, bushfire suppression and emergency response.
Provision of the Fighting Fit program includes the following, but not limited to:
- Health/Medical screening
- Task Based Assessment
- Audiometric testing (biennial)
- Travel to regional and metropolitan locations throughout South Australia
- Counsel employees with unacceptable risk factors identified during the health/medical screening and refer to General Practitioner (GP) for further assessment as required.
- Conduct remote Health/Medical review (when face to face health/medical screening is not available).
- Conduct injury and return to duty assessments.
- Data Management
- Program Administration
- Online platform for bookings and reporting
- Reporting
- Maintain DEW internal TBA capability
- Equipment transport – weight vests etc.
If applicable, the outgoing supplier is required to cooperate fully with DEW and an incoming supplier and will take reasonable steps to ensure the transition of all Intellectual Property Rights produced by the outgoing supplier in the course of the Contract from itself to the incoming supplier or to DEW. A Transition Plan will guide the transition process.
The term of the contract is one (1) year, with extension option of two (2) years plus two (2) years. The total contract term is up to five (5) years.
