Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠The City is committed to progressively improve accessibility and renovate existing City owned community facilities. The Request for Tender, seeks a qualified and experienced contractor to arrange toilet upgrade works for South Perth Bridge Club, Manning Bowling Club & Como Bowling Club. It is the intention of the City to award all three (3) projects to a single contractor to achieve better economies of scale and efficient work management. Toilet fixtures, lighting fixtures, walls & floor finishes are standardise in the facility upgrades as much as practicable. 

 
In summary: 
 
South Perth (SP) Bridge Club is located at the corner of Brittain Street and Barker Avenue, Como. SP Bridge club runs regular weekly sessions of bridge games and can get busy during the week. The original building was constructed in 1983 and the female toilet area was further extended in 1992. This project will retrofit a unisex Universal Access Toilet (UAT) via an extension adjacent to the male toilet; modify the male toilet to install an additional toilet cubicle and replace the female toilet vanity area. 
 
Manning Bowling Club is located 1590 Challenger Avenue, Manning. The Club was originally built in 1969 and had several extensions and modification works from 1972, 1974, 1981, 1988 and 2020. A Universal Access Toilet with shower was retrofitted in Manning Bowling club in early 2021. The UAT was the first phase of this toilet upgrade works. For this current tender, the female toilet & change rooms will be fully upgraded with new toilet fixtures, floor and wall finishes; and male toilet to be renovated with new floor tiling and new vanity area, male shower to be floor and wall re-tiled. Both toilets will be fitted with additional mechanical ventilation. 
 
Como Bowling Club is located at Hensman Avenue, South Perth. The Club was originally built in 1954 and had several extensions and modification works from 1958, 1963, 1972, 1986, 1988, 1989, 2009 and 2020. A New kitchen was constructed in mid 2021. The Kitchen was the first phase of this upgrade works. For this current tender, the existing female toilet & change room areas will be converted to female, male and universal access toilets with shower. Budget permitting, the existing male and old kitchen area will be decommissioned and converted to store rooms. 
 
The City reserves the right to award the three facilities to multiple contractors by negotiation depending on outcome of tender submission and available budget.
