The role:
The External Communications Team lead the delivery of strategic, planned communications that tells the Bureau story to build our reputation as a trusted source of information to the Australian community.
As a Senior Communications Adviser in the External Communications Team, you will lead the implementation of our new website strategy. You will work across the Bureau to create a consistent and engaging online presence for the Australian community.
This is a strategic external communications role. You will demonstrate a proven ability to negotiate outcomes, identify potential risks and issues, and meet competing deadlines. You will have a strong strategic communications background with an in-depth understanding of online delivery. Everything you do is underpinned by clear logic, considered thinking, and solid evidence-base, but you can be flexible and adapt to the organisation's changing needs.
Working in partnership with teams across the Bureau, you will have the ability to engage with and influence at all levels of the organisation. The key to this role is building strong, effective relationships to create confidence in this critical communications channel.
