UTS is seeking a next generation EDR solution to protect its existing fleet of servers, desktops, laptops and mobile end points.
The Endpoint Detection and Response Solution is required to monitor endpoint-system-level behaviours, using various data analytics techniques to detect suspicious system behaviour, provide contextual information, block malicious activity, and provide remediation suggestions to restore affected systems.
The EDR solution must provide the following four primary capabilities:
- Detect security incidents
- Contain the incident at the endpoint
- Investigate security incidents
- Provide remediation guidance
The EDR solution must provide coverage for Windows, MacOS and Linux workstations, and Windows and Linux servers. Coverage must be for physical and virtual instances. It is highly desirable that the solution provides coverage for Android and iOS devices.
The EDR solution must allow management of all endpoints from a centralised console, with role-based access controls restricting support teams to controlling those devices to only the infrastructure they are responsible for.
