The Specified Personnel will be responsible for providing the following deliverables including but not limited to:
• Undertaking requirements gathering, definition (research) and analysis;
• Deploying and administering the GIS environment, including deployments of ArcGIS server, Portal for ArcGIS, and Geospatial Server;
• Developing appropriate solutions and related technical specification documentation;
• Providing status reporting to Section management;
• Maintaining and designing systems and applications;
• Liaising with architects, developers, service and data modellers and testers to efficiently deliver high quality work;
• Producing outputs resulting from GIS system as follows:
• Conceptual and Contextual Modelling, in a system component context;
• Process Modelling and Definition, in a system component context;
• Developing System Requirements/Functional Requirements;
• Contributing to the construction of spatial metadata standards and detailed architecture models;
• Managing and analysing incidents/problems;
• Working within large or small multi-disciplinary teams;
• Developing GIS systems architecture in an Enterprise environment;
• Supporting cross function IT projects that rely heavily on GIS technology of data;
• Maintaining knowledge of new GIS technologies and recommend as innovative solutions where possible;
• Providing input into Architectural documentation including Solution and Security Architecture;
• Working under SAFe/Scrum framework adhering to scrum theory, practice and guidelines and contributing to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices; and
• Working with collaboration tools like JIRA and Confluence.
• Be a part of the 24x7 support team. Providing out of hours support, including a requirement to be on call, on a rostered basis. This entails:
> Specified Personnel to be available, and in the ‘required state of readiness’ to perform extra duty outside of standard business hours;
> The ‘required state of readiness’ includes the requirement for Specified Personnel to:
- physically attend on site within 30 minutes of notification of requirement to attend or as directed by Director, Maritime & Geospatial Systems (MGS);
- maintain compliance with the Department’s Professional Standards and Integrity Framework, which includes but is not limited to, ensuring Services are not performed whilst impaired by any legal or illegal drugs or alcohol;
> Specified Personnel will be provided with a mobile telephone while on call;
• Developing positive team ethos within the immediate workgroup through positive participation and communication;
• Developing and maintaining strong effective working relationships with key management personnel and internal client base.

Specified Personnel will be expected to transfer skills and knowledge to departmental staff and ensure appropriate documentation is stored in accordance with the Department’s recordkeeping policy and practices.

The Specified Personnel will also be responsible for producing the following deliverables, including but not limited to:
• Architectural documentation including Solution and Security Architecture;
• Technical documentation including Solution Design, Security design;
• Procedural documentation covering configuration of map services, management of metadata;
• Enterprise GIS Strategy and Roadmap including routine upgrade/patching plans and capability uplift including new products;
• System Support documentation including problem/issue identification, isolation, rectification.
