Tender Description
Federation University Australia is seeking to engage a local, reputable, capable and experienced company to complete the below construction work on time and within budget to improve carpark congestion and pedestrian access to the Mount Helen University.
In order to be considered as a conforming bid, tenderers must provide all the documents listed as conforming. All questions listed as mandatory must be responded to. Non-conforming tenders representing unacceptable levels of risk may be excluded from further consideration.
Questions posed by this method will be brought to the attention of the Project Manager and their response distributed to all interested parties via the Tender Portal.

Scope of Works
Prospective Tenderers or a representative are encouraged to inspect the site and familiarise themselves with the area where the work is to be completed prior to submitting their Tender. Access to site is permitted as it is deemed as a public area and Contruciton Professionals can drive to the site on their own accord.
Prospective Tenderers are to provide the University with three Referees from recent similar projects completed.
This Tender is to –
- Construct improved pedestrian crossings and walkways for the southern campus access, giving priority to pedestrian movement and improving accessibility.
- Construct a new, more direct entrance from University Drive into carparks 1 & 2, streamlining access and reducing potential clashes between car and pedestrian movements.
The construction is to be a two-phase construction -
- ThePedestrian Improvement work and any preparation work for the work on University Drive is to be completed prior to 15/12/2021.
- The work on University Drive to start mid-January 2022 and to be completed by mid-March prior to students return to the University.
The two-phase construction is due to the RoadNats using University Drive in January 2022 and the road needing to be clear and suitable for the race.
All staff working onsite will be required to provide the following prior to commencement of works –
