Tender Description
Scope of work:
Rio Tinto requires an engineering consultant to review consolidate a number of existing studies and reviews to identify a suite of solutions for reducing emissions for the Rio Tinto Iron Ore (RTIO) locomotive fleet.
The scope will also include assessing the Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of options and development of a concept level study report for the preferred proof of concept progression.
The consultant will need to complete a supply and demand model by reviewing existing studies on power demand modelling and utilities capacity modeling. Any deficits in the modelling will need to be addressed and rectified. The output of this work should be an enduring model that can be applied to various concepts of operations.
The scope requires development of the appropriate level detail for the Concept of Operations, power charging, power infrastructure, commissioning infrastructure, safety systems and system integration.
