Overview
Northern Star Resources Ltd (WA) intends to engage an experienced and reputable Design and Construct (D&C) Contractor to carry out the detailed engineering and design, procurement, construction and commissioning required to deliver the Non-Process Infrastructure (NPI) facilities for the Hemi Gold Project.
Scope
The Project NPI scope, as an overview, includes the following facilities, services and equipment. The details provided are preliminary and are subject to change pending further investigation.
The scope includes:
- Mining Services Area (MSA): Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) Workshop (5 bays, steel framed structure with 2 x 30/5 T overhead gantry cranes); Light Mobile Equipment (LME) Workshop (steel framed structure with multiple light vehicle and light truck hoists); Fabrication Workshop (1 bay, steel framed structure with 50/5 T overhead gantry crane); HME and LME Washbay; HME and LME Tyre Change Facility; Bulk Lubricant Facility; HME and LME Refuel Facility (2 HME bays, estimated 1.2 to 1.5 ML diesel fuel storage); Warehousing and Storage Yard for the HME and LME workshops; offices, ablutions, change room and crib facilities; HME and LME park-ups including Dead and Go lines, bus drop off and pick-up zones; Dewatering Team Compound (domeshelter style facilities, container storage and laydowns); Driller's Facility (domeshelter style facilities, container storage and laydowns); and HME Build Pad
- Administration Hub: offices, ablutions and crib facilities for mining administration staff and process plant operational personnel; Process Plant Control Room; Emergency Response Facility; LME park-up and bus drop-off and pick-up zones; and outdoor areas including Smokers Gazebo, BBQ areas and landscaping
- Plant Maintenance Workshop: steel framed structure with 5T overhead gantry crane
- Main Warehouse Facility: steel framed structure for indoor storage, outdoor storage yards and racking
- Core Control Facility: Core Storage Shed; Metallurgy Laboratory (building and infrastructure only, excludes laboratory equipment and fit-out); Grade-Control Laboratory (building and infrastructure only, excludes laboratory equipment and fit-out); Open Pit Driller's Facility; and laydown storage areas
- Mine Access Road (MAR): Security Gate and Weighbridge
- Explosives Storage Facility: Ammonium Nitrate Prill storage; Ammonium Nitrate Emulsion storage; AN transfer equipment; and magazine compound
- Ranger's Station: modular buildings for office and ablutions, storage containers and landscaped outdoor area
- Waste Water Treatment Plant: to support the NPI and Process Plant facilities
- Communications Infrastructure
- Utilities reticulation and equipment to support the NPI facilities: power and communications; raw, potable and fire water reticulation and storage; waste water storage and reticulation to treatment plant; and oily water capture and treatment
- Detailed earthworks, roadworks and drainage to provide access to all facilities and the adjoining HME and LME road networks
