Tender Description
King Track Bridge (CS067) was constructed in the early 1950s and provides single lane access across the Gellibrand River in Chapple Vale. Chapple Vale is a farming district approximately 1 hour drive from the city of Colac. The bridge load limit was recently reduced from 20 Tonnes to 2 Tonnes due to the deteriorating condition of the timber bridge, the southern piles and the southern abutment. The bridge has had significant maintenance works undertaken over the last 2 decades.
Colac Otway Shire Council have engaged bridge design consultants to procure a detailed bridge design for the replacement of the existing old timber bridge.
