Tender Description
The Australasian Rehabilitation Outcomes Centre (AROC) Management Advisory Group (MAG) seeks expressions of interest from AFRM Fellows to fill the Chair position.
About AROC
AROC is the rehabilitation medicine clinical registry for Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. The major objective of AROC is to improve the quality of rehabilitation and patient outcomes. AROC has developed a national benchmarking system to improve clinical rehabilitation outcomes for patients in both the public and private sectors and initially focussed on inpatient rehabilitation. Currently almost 100% of inpatient rehabilitation services are members of AROC and participate in benchmarking.
About the MAG
The MAG is responsible for overseeing the executive management of AROC, including its clinical and scientific governance.
The Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine (AFRM) is the auspice body of AROC, and appoints the Chair of the MAG. The Chair is appointed to the Group for 3-year term, or as otherwise agreed.
The MAG will receive, consider, endorse, and monitor the following reports:
- the annual AROC strategic, operational, and financial plan
- quarterly updates against the AROC budget
- management reports on the range of activities undertaken by the AROC
The MAG will support the AROC executive management team in developing strategies that:
- achieve the objectives of AROC as outlined in the annual AROC strategic plan
- promote AROC’s objectives within the rehabilitation sector and the broader health sector
- inform government policy
Members of the MAG will represent respective member's constituents in matters dealt with by the AROC MAG, present any concerns and/or requirements.
The MAG will meet at least 4 times a year, around February, May, August and November.
Members must commit to attending 1 face-to-face meeting and 1 video conference a year.
