Insanitary Condition Clean-Up

⁠⁠⁠Council is the local public health authority for its area under the South Australian Public Health Act 2011 and are responsible for taking actions to preserve, protect and promote public health within its area. This includes identifying risks to public health and as necessary, ensure remedial action is undertaken to reduce or eliminate the impacts or risks to public health.

A condition of severe domestic squalor in a residential dwelling constitutes a risk to public health for the purposes of the Act, as outlined in the South Australian Public Health (Severe Domestic Squalor) Policy 2013. Therefore, as required above, Council may at times undertake the clean-up of premises to rectify the insanitary conditions and public health risks as per standard operating procedure, Action on Default of a Notice.

This request for quote is for the provision of Insanitary Condition Clean-Up onsite of a residential property, which includes the sorting of items and assisting with establishing objects for both discarding and retaining, and the cleaning of surfaces to mitigate the public health risk on-site.
