This Tender is invited by the Issuer.
DFAT has a requirement for the engagement of an experienced Project Manager.
The successful candidate will be required to work across the entire project lifecycle from inception to closeout and will be tasked to lead one or more of the following projects:
• Physical security capability upgrades and deployments.
• Design and implementation of a global network to support IoT unclassified systems.
• Security operation’s centre maturity and enhancement.
• Operating requirements definition and cost model to support Sep delivered capabilities.
Duties:
DFAT requires an experienced Project Manager who has:
• Proven experience delivering projects from inception to closure, highlighted through a successful transition to business as usual function and project closure acceptance.
• Experience managing direct project team members as well as resources within a matrix organisational structure.
• An ability to work collaboratively as part of a high performing team/organisation, establishing and maintaining effective partnerships with key internal and/or external stakeholders to identify, lead and deliver high quality business outcomes
• A strong attention to detail demonstrated through high quality project artefacts such as Project Plans, Schedules, Risk and Issue Registers and Status Reports.
• Confidence and skill to effectively manage project budgets in an Australian government organisation.
• Undertaken procurement activities and vendor management in an Australian government organisation.
• An ability to develop and/or coordinate the development of organisation change management and communications artefacts.
The successful candidate will need to be experienced in Project Management and be able to demonstrate the following:
• Experience in managing challenging, concurrent projects
• Proven delivery of end to end project, delivered successfully on time and on budget.
• Strong knowledge and application of PM methodologies.
• Confidence working in a fast paced, sometimes reactive environment
• Outstanding communication skills - written and verbal
• High quality reporting
• Change management experience, across all areas of the business
