Aggregated Electricity Procurement Support
Tender ID: 461594
Tender Details
Tender Description
Members of the Central NSW Joint Organisation (CNSWJO) have been procuring electricity collectively for over 15 years. Due to the complex nature of the procurement, the participating councils typically engage a third-party consultant to provide technical expertise and support to the procurement process.
CNSWJO and its member councils are currently seeking expressions of interest from suitably experienced consultants to provide aggregated electricity procurement support for the next round of electricity procurement. Contracts must commence on 1 January 2023 and will include the supply of electricity for small tariff sites, large market sites and streetlighting.
The CNSWJO and its member councils are working closely with the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment (DPIE) through its Sustainable Councils and Communities (SCC) Program on energy-related projects including this procurement of consulting support.
The scope of this EOI is broad to enable respondents to provide innovative responses that highlight options that the CNSWJO and its member councils may not yet have considered. It is anticipated that this EOI process will be followed by a selective RFQ.
The CNSWJO Board and the General Managers Advisory Committee (GMAC) have recently approved the incorporation of a minimum of 50% of the total load to be sourced from renewables, subject to pricing.
The councils participating in the aggregated procurement of electricity include:
- Bathurst Regional Council
- Blayney Shire Council
- Cabonne Shire Council
- Cowra Shire Council
- Forbes Shire Council
- Lachlan Shire Council
- Oberon Council
- Orange City Council
- Parkes Shire Council
- Weddin Shire Council
- Central Tablelands Water
All responses are required to be input into the designated areas within the online form. Responses that are submitted as one PDF rather than in the designated boxes may not be accepted. Attachments are permitted for most questions.
Any questions in relation to the EOI are to be made in writing through the portal. Respondents should be aware that any question that requests information relating to the contents of the EOI will be responded to publicly through the portal to ensure all respondents are provided with the same information.
