Horsham Skate Park Basketball Court

⁠⁠⁠Horsham Rural City Council invites you to provide a quotation for the Supply and install of a basketball hoop system and landscaping work at the Horsham Skate Park. A concrete pad has been selected as the location for this. The concrete pad is the lid of an existing water tank, and is currently unused. There is an umbrella bolted to the pad in the southern corner, which may need to be rotated to prevent conflict with the court area. There is also a pump shed on the opposite side, and there will need to be a casing surround installed around the pump to ensure it does not pose a hazard.

Works will follow the concept plan design, using option 1. The proposed basketball hoops system (Megaslam FX72) will need to be procured and installed as per the design and installation manual. As the concrete area is higher than the land around it, a runout area behind the hoop will need to be built up to ensure a safer play area. This area will have a treated pine edging and cool play synthetic grass on top.

Council will work with the successful contractor to refine the specifications and design of the basketball court to fit the requirements of the new development. Prior to the closure of the RFQ, a site visit will be organised on the 14th July at 11am to allow for interested parties to assess the site.

Works must be completed by 9th July 2021.

Prior to submitting a quotation, the tenderer must:

• fully read and understand the requirements of the Invitation to Quote
• review and understand all relevant documents necessary for them to submit an informed quote
• complete and sign the schedule of rates and submit with works proposal.
