IT Project Manager (21AMSA097)

⁠⁠⁠AMSA is seeking an IT Application/Software Project Manager, with experience managing delivery (initiation through to deployment) of software applications in Federal Government.

The candidate should have relevant industry standard qualifications/certifications, demonstrated experience creating and managing to schedule/project governance requirements. AMSA’s SDLC project delivery methodology is a hybrid of agile and waterfall, and candidates must be able to adapt their management style to suit the phase of the project.

Reporting to the CIO, IT Program Manager and Executive Project Board/s, the PM will manage the implementation of several IT projects, including integration and data migration between COTS/bespoke applications, delivering end state solutions in Microsoft Dynamics365 (CRM) Cloud. The PM will work in a small IT project team, including Business Analysts, Solution Architects, Testers and other technical resources as required.

The role will require liaison and coordination of activities with key business stakeholders, subject matter experts and other project manager/s working on parallel business projects. The candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability in negotiating and managing strategies in response to project change, to deliver business outcomes.

This role is CANBERRA BASED. AMSA will not consider options for candidates to work outside of the ACT.

This is a new position, with no incumbent and is not a market test.

Questions regarding rate, budget and margins will not be answered. A rate has deliberately not been set. Vendors should price candidates competitively for the Canberra market. AMSA will use the Digital Marketplace rate guide to determine a suitable average rate.
