Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠The purpose of the grant opportunity is so support the delivery of safe and quality aged care service delivery to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. The National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Flexible Aged Care (NATSIFAC) Program service providers do not have access to infrastructure grants or other funding to maintain and upgrade their equipment and buildings. The NATSIFAC Program is part of the Australian Government's strategy to improve the quality of, and access to aged care services for older Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

A separate application must be submitted per category and must not exceed the maximum amount of funding available per category. Separate applications must be lodged for different service locations.

There are three categories of funding available:

Category 1

  • staff accommodation unit
  • minor capital works or upgrades to existing buildings

Category 2

  • maintenance or renovations to existing building/s

Category 3

  • training, the purchase or replacement of furniture or equipment.

The key objective of the grant opportunity is:

to provide annual funding opportunity to help NATSIFAC Program service providers address a clearly identified need, that:
- supports the delivery of aged care services; and

- addresses the need for training, equipment purchase and replacement, minor building upgrades and construction of staff accommodation (refer to Glossary for definition).

Funding will be prioritised to services location in MMM6-7.
