Tender Description
Colac Otway Shire Council wishes to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced sports planning consultant to undertake strategic planning for 4 of Council’s 5 main Colac City Reserves:
- Eastern Reserve
- Western Reserve
- Lake Oval (Colac Cricket Ground)
- Central Reserve
The outcomes from completing the project will be:
- The development of a framework for prioritising sporting reserve developments, upgrades and works based on Council policy that can be used across the City Reserves and also the broader Shire;
- Site-specific master plans for the 4 reserves, which identify a list of priority projects/works specific to each of the reserves.
- A collated and prioritised list of works across all 5 Colac City Reserves (Central Reserve, Eastern Reserve, Western Reserve, Lake Oval (Colac Cricket Ground) and Elliminyt Recreation Reserve).
This project is needed to provide the necessary direction to Council, local sporting clubs and associations/leagues for guiding any future facility development. The outcomes of this project will be used to assist Council by having a coordinated, strategic and equitable approach to facility improvements and investment for Colac, which can also be used Shire-wide for sporting, and recreation facilities.
