Tender Description
Tenders are invited from suitably qualified and experienced contractors and nominated designers for the design and construction of the proposed new Lawrence reservoir. The specification is based on a reinforced concrete base and walls with aluminum roof structure. Alternative materials and methodology such as fabricated mild steel reservoirs will be considered by the Principal subject to performance set out in the specification.
The work under this contract consists of completion of concept and detailed design, documentation, supply of all materials, plant, equipment and labour for the construction, installation and testing of the new Lawrence Reservoir and associated work in accordance with the specification.
A mandatory site meeting will be held at the site where the Principal will arrange for test pits to be excavated for viewing by the tenderers to assist in the interpretations and assessment of the site conditions. Tenderers must wear appropriate PPE such as hard hat, high vis and steel cap boots to view the test pits being excavated, otherwise tenderers will be required to maintain a safe distance from the excavation. Tenders submitted by tenderers who fail to attend will be passed over.
