Rio Tinto is undertaking a Pre-Feasibility Study into the replacement of the three Reclaimers at Parker Point, Dampier Ports.
As part of this pre-feasibility study is the requirement to conduct an option analysis for deconstruction of each of the current reclaimers. The scope of the options analysis will be for a suitable qualified and experienced consultant to undertake and engineering assessment of various deconstruction/demolition methodologies for this type of balanced machine based upon;
a) Demolition location
b) Key Risks and hazards
c) Duration of works
d) Cost to undertake the works
e) potential scheduled loss for production
f) Differnt demolition options- Piece by peice/ Pull down/ Single peice SPMT to demolition site
The consultant must have extensive experience in preparation, design and supervision of balanced machine deconstruction/demolition projects.
