Tender Description
Western Power is seeking registrations of interest (ROI) from suitably qualified and experienced organisations to provide environmental services, as well as unexploded ordnance management, throughout Western Power’s approved licence area.
Western Power intends to set up a panel arrangement for the provision of environmental services with the following service categories:
Approvals
Provide project support to facilitate environmental, land access and town planning and heritage approvals:
Category One - Environment
- Environmental impact assessment
- Flora surveys
- Wetland surveys
- Assess and coordinate environmental approvals and manage compliance in the field
- Dieback surveys and preparation of Hygiene Management Plans
- Fauna surveys
- Biodiversity offsets
- Rehabilitation (vegetation)
- Coordination of approvals
Category Two - Land Access and Town Planning
- Land access permits
- Town planning services
- Visual impact assessment and management
- Coordination of approvals
Category Three – Noise
- Noise Assessment and Management
Hazardous Material / Contaminated Site
Provide project and operational support to investigate and manage hazardous material and contaminated sites:
Category Four – Hazardous Materials and Occupational Health and Dangerous Goods
- Occupational Hygiene Monitoring (Workplace and Emergency Management)
- Asbestos
- Environmental Monitoring
- SHE requirements:
- availability 24 hours, 7 days and 365 days a year; and
- supplier employee(s) obtaining a Western Power Network Authority Card and other relevant training, qualification and authorisation requirements (at the supplier’s expense).
Category Five - Contaminated Sites
- Investigation
- Remediation
- Auditing
Category Six – Unexploded Ordnance
- Unexploded Ordnance Related Materials Assessment, Management and Remediation Works
SHE REQUIREMENTS
Successful suppliers will need to ensure that they can adhere to Western Power’s Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) requirements as detailed in SHE requirements for contractors guideline available at: https://westernpower.com.au/industry/manuals-guides-standards/
REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
Suppliers are required to demonstrate track record and capability in delivering works described in the above-mentioned categories in Western Australia.
The response is to include:
- A brief description of vendor capability and expertise (staff numbers, qualifications and accreditation) in each of the relevant categories; and
- Up to three (3) examples of previous work of a similar nature (both in the utility sector, and/or other industries), including reference to deliverables, ability to meet timeframes and outcomes from the work(s).
