This Tender is invited by the Issuer.
The Department of Health (Health) provides policy advice, analysis and other services to the Australian Government. Health is responsible for achieving the Government’s priorities for population health, access to pharmaceutical medical and dental services, acute care, primary health care, private health, health infrastructure regulation, safety and quality, health workforce capacity, biosecurity and emergency response, mental health, and sport and recreation.
Health is geographically centred in the ACT with people also located in State and Territory offices. The agency also provides corporate support to around 20 portfolio agencies. The Information Technology Division (ITD) is responsible for developing and providing a wide range of services to support the business and operating environment of the department and some of its portfolio agencies. ITD's role is to provide expert, specialised and highly efficient information technology support services including maintaining and developing ICT applications and infrastructure.
Analytics and Reporting Branch (ARB), within ITD, provides data, information and knowledge management capability and services for Health.The Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) is an asset of critical importance to the Department. It underpins the Department’s strategic focus on data and analytics to support evidence-based policy and better targeting of health services in the Australian community. Health is currently enhancing its EDW through connecting with other infrastructure, improving data assets, and increasing access and use of these.
Please note: The specific number and role types engaged will be dependent on suitability of the responses against the requirements, budget limitations and program/project priorities. These roles will be required to work with existing and emerging ARB and Aged Care projects and programs which will seek to enhance data across the Health environment.
There is an immediate requirement for high calibre and passionate candidates to add value to ARB and Aged Care program of work (and to the broader Health outcomes).
