Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠A Consultancy firm will be required to supply Project Management for the compilation and submission of a disaster restoration funding application and delivery of the restoration work.

The role is dependent on a disaster declared event occurring within the Banana Shire and the activation of an event by the Qld Reconstruction Authority. The Project Manager and inspectors must have experience with QRA requirements and restoration works.

The Consultancy firm will be responsible for:

  •  Project manage inspections and funding submission for a Disaster event.
  •  Inspection of affected council infrastructure
  •  The collection of the required photos and information regarding damage to Council Infrastructure using the Asset Edge Recover System or otherwise specified.
  •  Compile and submit damage photos and information to QRA through the MARS system
  •  Regularly meet with Council Representatives to update on the progress of the damage inspections and the funding submission.
  •  Answer any questions form the QRA regarding any funding applications
  •  Act as Project Manager for all civil reconstruction project(s).
  •  Supervise on the ground construction projects through all phases of the project life cycle to ensure projects targets are met
  •  Provide technical advice to the Council Representative
  •  Liaise with Council representatives on the status of the Project and ensure all work is carried out to the satisfaction of Council
  •  Prepare and review project programs
  •  Provide technical advice to field staff
  •  Develop tenders and quotations in conjunction with Procurement and in accordance with Procurement Policy when required
  •  Ensure Quality Assurance is carried with all required documentation
  •  Ensure payment claims are submitted within the specified timeframe
  •  Develop, document and continuously review work practices
  •  Provide specialist input on construction rates, unit rates and local information to ensure the constructability of designs
  •  Ensure effective communication with clients, stakeholders and staff
  •  Co-ordinate resources for the delivery of the projects program
  •  Actively contribute to the team within the Department, promote best practice and maintain professional standards and integrity
  •  Undertake other relevant duties as directed, consistent with skills, competence and training.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

Specific requirements of the position may include:

  •  Current Qld Manual Class C drivers licence
  •  Qld General Safety Induction (Construction Industry) Certification
  •  Experience in managing QRA funding submissions
  •  Experience in Civil Infrastructure Project Management & Delivery
  •  Technical Qualifications in Civil Engineering or Equivalent
  •  RPEQ status would be preferable
