The Echuca Cancer and Wellness Centre Project will relocate Echuca Regional Health’s existing chemotherapy / haemodialysis unit to a new purpose-built cancer and wellness centre to improve amenity, access and comfort for patients, and provide a more efficient working environment for staff.
The new centre will deliver 10 new chemotherapy / haemodialysis treatment chairs and provide wellness programs to help improve the health and wellbeing of cancer patients.
Patients will continue to be able to access consultations with haematologists, medical oncologists, nephrologists and radiation oncologists, all conveniently located in one location.
The key objectives of this project are:
- To provide residents of Echuca and surrounds access to best quality cancer care in a contemporary setting close to home.
- To provide a better range of early treatments and wellness services to the catchment population.
- To provide a contemporary, accessible and integrated model of care.
