Tender Description
The scope of communication services includes the supply, installation, testing, commission of the Infrastructure Cabling and Structured Cabling Systems. The communications services will require detailed coordination with other trades in accordance with the John Holland Digital Engineering Management Plan (DEMP). The communications trade is to co-ordinate with the with the hydraulics subcontractor who will be the lead services co-ordinator for all below ground and below-slab services – that is the lead federator of the 3D model and the Mechanical subcontractor who will be the lead all above-slab services - that is the lead federator of the 3D model. Specific scope for Communications Services includes the following components:
• Site wide fibre optic local area network system;
• Communications pits and conduits infrastructure works;
• Structured integrated cabling system;
• Cable management systems for the building;
• Communication Racks, FOBOT, Patch Panels, patch/fly leads and field outlets;
• Certification and testing of entire communication system;
• Submission of workshop drawings, samples and sample technical data for review and acceptance;
• Revit shop drawings;
• Comprehensive commissioning and site validation testing;
• Submission of Operation and Maintenance manuals via OMTRAK or similar; and
• Comprehensive maintenance during defects liability period.
