Chiltern SES Relocation - Civil Package

⁠⁠⁠Indigo Shire Council are seeking to engage a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to provide a flat and level site for building a new 30m x 12.5m shed. Works will include a suitable hardstand for vehicles weighing up to 11 tonnes. All underground Services and a concrete slab to suit the proposed shed. Total prepared area will be 500m2. Two heavy duty cross overs will be included in this works package.

This project has come about is due to the requirement to relocate the existing SES Shed currently located at 3 Crawford St Chiltern. A new shed will be erected on the adjacent block of land in Crawford St prior to the relocation.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION included with this tender
a. Soil classification report.
b. Environmental report
c. Plan of shed location on site
d. Feature survey and Boundary Survey pegs
e. Indicative internal shed layout provided to clearly show set downs, service locations
and entrance ways
f. Finished Floor Level height will be 207.44
g. Exclusions – Authority Fees including Power connection - Ausnet, new customer contributions - North East Water, Telecommunications connection fees

Place and finish new concrete slab on site. This will include:
i. A Medium Industrial Slab with an 11 tonne vehicle load rating built on soil Class M-D
ii. Set downs and shutters as required to shed design
iii. Placement of Hold down bolts or cages as required by shed builder
iv. 32Mpa concrete 180mm thick slab, SL92 Mesh, 30mm top cover,
v. Recommended Joint spacing - 6m (7.5m Max), (Bay sizes are 6m)
vi. Edge beams as required/suitable for the provided Soil Classification report
vii. Joint Reinforcement Requirements - R20 Bars at 300 max ctrs
3. Install sub soil services as required
a. Underground services including connection to authority mains or services electrical, Telstra, water, sewer and storm water
b. Temporary drainage will be required at site cuts including environmental protection works and silt traps during construction
4. Vehicle access & Egress
a. 2 heavy vehicle cross overs to Crawford St
